In the music world Marlene Bandeira is known as Nelly Strong, a name chosen due to her physical and mental strength. In 2010, this young rapper entered into the music scene as a member of the group "Black Niggas". There were several performances that left marks and desire to do more. In June of that same year, Nelly left the group and partnered with Carla Pontifice "Miss Underground" to sing slam poetry. This pair of female rapper broke the taboos of the music entourage in São Tomé and Príncipe with their performances and lyrics. They both were recognized as "the ladies of hip hop" or "the girls who sing in French", which was the language they chose to make slam. Her partner in crime, Miss Underground, left the country to study abroad but Nelly continued to do what she loves: singing. She was invited to join several projects, always being introduced as the only female rapper of the islands. Apart from music, Nelly also studies telecommunications engineering, but never leaves her dream behind: keep singing and continuing to make music.Recently, Nelly released the big hit "Mordomia" (stewardship) in partnership with Tigre T, one of the members of the group "Os Vibrados". The song literally put Nelly Strong into people's mouths.
