Scott Andrew is a multimedia artist working in video, performance, and installation. He received a BFA in Intermedia from West Virginia University and an MFA from the School of Art at Carnegie Mellon University. He works as an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University, a fashion instructor at the Andy Warhol Museum, a Co-Producer of Trans-Q Television, and is a Pittsburgh Filmmakers Flight School Fellow. His work has been exhibited at MIX: The NYC Queer Experimental Film Festival, Thank You For Coming in Los Angeles, The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, Envoy Enterprises, Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, The Kinsey Institute, The Urban Institute for Contemporary Art, The Center for Sex and Culture, The Institute of American Indian Arts, Anthology Film Archives, and The Andy Warhol Museum.
Nina Sarnelle is an artist, performer, and co-creator of The Institute for New Feeling. Her work provides participatory experiences framed as "treatments," "therapies" or "retreats," that investigate new ways of feeling, and ways of feeling new. Nina has recently performed/exhibited at Thank You for Coming, Los Angeles, Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, DC Arts Center, XHURCH in Portland, OR, Artscape Festival in Baltimore, VIA Festival, Body Actualized Center and Microscope Gallery in New York.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
