Torture, rape and excessive use of force are some of the allegations levelled at Sudan's security forces in a new report by US-based NGO, Physicians for Human Rights. The group has been investigating the massacre of peaceful demonstrators in the capital Khartoum in June 2019. The security forces used extreme violence to disperse a sit-in, protesting against the military government that took over after the ousting of dictator Omar al Bashir. More than 240 people were killed and many more injured. The report details the alleged abuses and says their actions were premeditated.
