In breaking news from Sri Lanka, more than 185 people have been killed and 400 hundred injured this Easter Sunday in bomb attacks at churches and five star hotels in Sri Lanka. Explosions have been reported in Colombo, Negombo and Batticaloa. Many foreigners are reported to be among the dead. Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has convened his top military officials in an emergency meeting to coordinate a response to the blasts. He denounced the attacks on Twitter, posting: "I strongly condemn the cowardly attacks on our people today. I call upon all Sri Lankans during this tragic time to remain united and strong. Please avoid propagating unverified reports and speculation. The government is taking immediate steps to contain the situation." DW spoke with a security expert who witnessed one of the attacks.
