Democrats in the US have approved billions of dollars worth of humanitarian aid for migrants at the US-Mexico border. But it's unclear whether the bill will now pass in the Republican-controlled Senate, and President Trump has threatened to veto it. The bill comes as concerns grow over the situation in migrant detention centers in the US - with reports of children being kept in squalid conditions. Harrowing photos of a drowned migrant father and his infant daughter have also focused the country's attention on the plight of those trying to reach the US from Mexico.
