Manaweblife takes you to another Jenjarom village food haunt that is unlike any other that you would find in the city. Jenjarom is just 40-45 km from PJ and it's an easy road all the way there. This time Manaweblife ventures right into a housing estate, into the backyard of one Madam Tan's terrace house. Here is a food haunt in the backyard literally. And the only specialty is Chinese style rojak ! For viewers who are unfamiliar with the term, rojak literally means "everything mixed together". Malaysians are familiar with rojak, but we seldom, or rarely, see Chinese style rojak. This video is going to make you want to visit this place and try it for yourself. Madam Tan, an ex-school canteen operator, has been dishing out rojak for over 10 years, now and you can see in this video that her backyard kitchen staff (her family and relatives) are doing work in a hurry to meet customers demands. The rojak comes with all the trappings of a normal rojak dish plus a variety of sauces and meat. From the familiar rojak peanut curry sauce , there is also curry chicken mee, hot curry fish sauce and chicken feet too. The noodles that is seen in the video is home made and boric acid-free, hence without that sting-in-the-mouth after feel. Never underestimate the power of delicious food no matter where it is cooked or served. This is not a Michelin star restaurant but this rojak is magnificent !
