He started his career in 1995. After obtaining his PhD from the University of Pavia, he moved to Harvard as a postdoc. At the Edmund Mach Foundation he has taken up the ambitious challenge to apply genomics and bioinformatics to the analysis of symbioses between humans, insects, plants and their microbiota.
