Messed Up Things That Happened During The American Revolution

The American Revolution was a big part of the whole birth of the United States thing, but it wasn't all glory and liberty. In fact, the American Revolution was a brutal conflict that saw many thousands lose their lives, and it carried with it all of the rest of the well known horrors of war. Many of these events happened because of the behavior of the invading British, but the would-be Americans weren't innocent either. And sometimes, nature itself was to blame for some seriously unlucky events that changed many lives for the worse, sometimes ending them entirely.
