Keith Seckel, RN, CHPN, is a storyteller who uses word-pictures and analogies to articulate complex and
confusing ideas in simple, easy to understand terms. Because of this, he often serves as a translator of sorts in the fields of athletics, medicine, and spirituality. He seeks conversations with those wanting to share life stories. Keith was been a Registered Nurse in the US Navy and at Stanford Hospital & Clinics before joining Willamette Valley Hospice in 2007. Now Keith helps people facing the last months of their lives find comfort and peace so they can die well. Along the way, he says they teach him, and all of us, how to live well. Keith was raised in the Pacific Northwest, loves the rain, and lives in Salem with his wife, Cathy, their cat L'il Miss, and an inordinate amount of running gear.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
