Manaweblife had another delicious discovery in KL's Brickfields enclave. This is a sizzling hot spot for those in search of tea-time desserts that are considered local favourites. This Brickfields' Goreng Pisang stall, as it is called, has a 35-year old history and is operated by a bubbly Mr Chiam who learned the trade from his father. Take a look at this video and see for yourself why there is always a queue waiting for their desserts here. The main draw is the fried banana fritters using 'pisang raja' or 'king banana'. But do try the Penang nyonya style curry puffs, the fried jackfruit, the sesame balls and also the homemade Chinese 'nin kou' or 'kuih bakul'. If this video makes your saliva flow it's time to drop by here and taste the crispy, soft difference in the banana fritters. Mr Chan's advice : to avoid the queue it's best to come when it is raining!
