ICC finds Congo warlord Bosco Ntaganda guilty of war crimes | DW News

The International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague has found former Congolese warlord Bosco Ntaganda guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity for atrocities committed in the northeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) between 2002 and 2003. In his role as military chief of staff of the National Congress for the Defense of the People (CNDP), Bosco was charged with a series of crimes including directing massacres of civilians and ordering the rape of men and women. Ntaganda maintained his innocence through out the trial.
