Rachel Cook is founder of Seeds Inc., a tech startup that builds microlending into games to convert players into payers for gaming companies while transforming the world for the better through mobile microlending, largely to female entrepreneurs.

Rachel made millions of dollars as a proprietary Futures and Equities Trader before launching The Microlending Film Project, a feature documentary about the impact of microloans on women, even though she'd never successfully made a film short. The documentary was the Feature Presentation at The Chicago International Social Change Film Festival, and was her first profitable startup. While filming in Kenya, she became aware of the market opportunity behind Seeds Inc. Today, Rachel lives in New York.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
