This program promotes an equal opportunity for success to talented children from distressed background, and helps them build a better future for themselves. It creates a nurturing environment which empowers and encourages a child to excel, to dare to dream, and to fulfill dreams.

Shula is an organizational psychologist (Ph.D Columbia University), investing in hi-tech and healthcare startups in Israel. She is a strong believer in education as the most effective tool for reducing poverty and creating opportunities for bridging social gaps. Over a decade she is leading Educating for Excellence (E4E) -- a social venture which promotes children from impoverished areas to break the cycle of poverty and fulfill their potential.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
