Autobytel recently caught up with Formula Drift Champion Dai Yoshihara at the first ever round of FD competition to be held at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in South Florida. While Dai has driven an assortment of drift machines ranging from the mighty Pontiac GTO to the Lexus IS as well as the venerable Nissan S13; however Dai is stepping into uncharted territory for the 2014 Formula Drift season as he will be piloting the Falken Tire Subaru BRZ. Aside from taking us inside the new build, Dai also takes a minute to talk about how despite the level of professional drift cars, all you need to have fun is a rear wheel drive chassis with some sort of locking differential.
