It is not uncommon for crows to harass larger predatory birds, with the intention to steal their food. The hawk is still young and the crows take vigorously advantage of its inexperience by continuously attacking it. Regardless, the hawk keeps defending its catfish with his sharp talons and powerful beak. But still the question remains, why would smaller birds take the risk of attacking a larger predator, with the possibility of getting insured or even killed during a time with plenty of food available?
