Did you know that the small Mediterranean island of Cyprus could stop Turkey from joining the European Union? Here's the thing – the island has been split in half by a UN buffer zone since the 1970s. Even its capital city, Nicosia, is divided. And Turkey is a big part of that. Today we're going to look at the history and context behind the division, and how it could impact the future of the European Union.
