U.S. President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and members of the White House coronavirus task force spoke about the country’s COVID-19 response on Saturday, stating they are extending the current European travel restrictions to include the U.K. and Ireland.
Pence stated that the ban will take effect on March 16, but will still allow U.S. citizens to return from Europe.
Trump also confirmed that he had taken the COVID-19 test, which he said would take up to two days for results.
