EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
Joe welcomes Comedian Erik Griffin and Motion City Soundtrack to the set and we talk about the difference between playing shows and doing it for tv, the perils of record labels, touching fans through the internet, and Erik gives a hand-fart tutorial.
After the far reaching talk, Candy Hearts come out and perform "Tongue Tied," acoustically to close us out.

GUEST BIO:
Motion City Soundtrack is an American rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, formed in 1997. The band consists of founding members Justin Pierre (lead vocals and guitar) and Joshua Cain (lead guitar and backing vocals), along with keyboardist and moog synthesist Jesse Johnson, bassist and backing vocalist Matthew Taylor, and drummer, percussionist and backing vocalist Tony Thaxton. Motion City Soundtrack has released four studio albums and sold almost 600,000 records throughout their career, including over half a million in the United States alone.

Erik Griffin is a first generation American-born comedian/actor. Erik made the decision in 2003 to quit his job and plunge headlong into making comedy his full-time occupation. The challenge paid off&Erik will next be seen as a recurring character on the new Comedy Central series, Workaholics as "Montez Walker".

Candy Hearts is the project of Mariel Loveland, Christian Migliorese, Kris Hayes, and Christina Picciano. Their sugary brand of punk-tinged indie delivers just the right amount of 90's nostalgia. Loveland's introspective lyrics create a portrait of youth for all that it is—carefree, innocent, and fun, yet uncertain, lonely, ambivalent, and pissed-off. The band is currently in LA working on a new EP with Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory.
