Trieste, a town formed by its unique geographic location and the blending of different cultures, was the venue of the concluding Citizens' Dialogue in Italy on 16 September. 800 citizens from Italy and its neighbour countries Austria, Slovenia and Croatia discussed with Commission Vice-President Viviane Reding and Italian EU Affairs Minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi. Many of the Italian participants had before taken part in one of the preceding thematic Dialogues in the country with the EU Commissioners for Employment, Home Affairs, Industry and Entrepreneurship, Environment and Climate Action.
