British Prime Minister Theresa May is set to announce her Plan B for leaving the EU after lawmakers overwhelmingly rejected her deal with the bloc last week. May's proposals today are expected to focus on winning more concessions from the EU, in particular on the so-called Irish backstop - an insurance policy to avoid a hard border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. But the EU says the backstop is non-negotiable.
