On this episode of AMC Mail Bag (Sunday January 4th 2015) we take the following viewer emails:
Alex Probst writes: Hey guys, love the show! I’m not sure if this question has been asked yet but, what happened to the Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice teaser trailer that was supposed to be attached to the The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies? I was really looking forward to that trailer, and was very disappointed when it was not shown. Is there any news of when the teaser will be released?
TyJuan Moore writes: Hey AMC I love the show. My question is do they really have to introduce Kryptonite in the DCCU. I say this because it's the dumbest weakness ever. Thor, Hulk, Wonder Woman, none of them have a weakness do why does Superman have one?
Julie James writes: So, back in September, my husband sent you a question regarding your participation in Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and you aired his question and responded so tenderheartedly to his request. I appreciate so much that you aired his question. While this has been a hard year, your show truly has been a bright spot that helps him decompress, and it was exciting to see something so important to him on a show that means so much to him. Because of your addressing my husband's question and asking him to post locations that folks can donate, we personally received almost $1000 for our daughter's medical bills from your viewers that very day. I appreciate very much your participation in NoShaveNovember and your dedicated efforts to increase awareness and funding for cancer research. Our daughter has moved out of her intensive treatments and into what is called Long Term Maintenance where she will take meds & chemo at home until May 2016 (this is a good thing!). Again, thanks to you all for making a difference in, at least, our lives.
Chris Kramer writes: Hey everyone, love the show, and I watch your channel all the time. Anyway, with everything going on at Disney given the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe and of course Star Wars what do you think are the possibilities of getting one more Tron movie made? I have always been a huge fan of the original and I loved the look and feel of the new updated design on Legacy. I afraid it will get buried and forgotten for another thirty years.
Toro Hill writes: Hey guys, got another question for you. Is Heath Ledgers Joker character from the Dark Knight the best villain ever to be displayed on the big screen to this point? If not, would you rank his character a top 5 villain of all time? There are a bunch of great performances when it comes to a villain in a film so I'm very curious what you think about this. Thanks guys and keep bringing it and happy New year to you all.
Hagar writes: I am a huge fan of Fantasy movies, books, games. So only natural that I am a huge fan of The Lord of the rings and Hobbit movies. I thought with the success of those of those trilogies that it would open the door for more types of that genre. Where are they all at.
Jonathan Tefft writes: Hi AMC love the show! I only have one question regarding Star Wars canon. Since everything from here on is now canon, will I need to read all the books and comics, play all the games, and watch all the tv shows, to understand whats going on in the movies? As big of a Star Wars fan that I am I don't have the time and money to do all those things. So will I be lost if I just watch the movies?
Joey Guseppi writes: Huge fan! I’ve got a question about the whole The Interview situation. I saw John’s speech on it (which was great by the way), but I’m just wondering why it was never a full topic of discussion on the show? Just curious. Thanks!
