On this installment of AMC Mail Bag (Saturday August 9th 2014) we take the following viewer email questions:

James Walsh writes: hello amc and keep up the fine work. my question is about the amount of superhero films coming out from 2015 to 2020. with dc announcing they plan to release 9 and marvel averaging 2 movies a years that's 19 movies. then you got to factor in sony and fox who are releasing 1 to 2 movies a year as well. so over the next 5 years we could be getting close to 30 plus superhero movies. my question is do you think that this amount of comic book movies over a short space of time will oversaturate the market leading to some big box office bombs? or do you think it is insignificant?

Evan Lee writes: Hey guys. Love the show. My question is about Chris Pratt. After the success of Guardians of the Galaxy and the fact that Pratt's also going to be in Jurassic World, do you think there's any chance he could be the next huge action star? He clearly has the body for it now, and I think he has the ability (acting, comedic timing, charisma). What do you guys think?

Joe Vang writes: Hello AMC, how come no one is talking about the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes box office results? It has only made 400 million worldwide while its previous predecessor made the same number. Compared to a movie like X-Men DOFP, their budget was about the same but X-Men did drastically better with 700 million. Thoughts?

Luis Fonseca writes: Hello amc crew love you guys and the show. Can the incredibles 2 beat frozen for the highest gross animated movie i think it has a chance at it what do you guys think?

Andre Vila Franca writes: Will you ever gonna talk about anime or manga? Because there are tons of amazing and beautifully written and drawn stories that could be adapted to cinema such as BERSERK by Miura Kentaro. If the producers got the courage to adapt such fenomenal manga to cinema i believe without a doubt that the Hollywood directors would pay much more attention and respect to manga and anime and would start to make a lot more of these adaptations.

Miguel Batacan writes: Hello All! Love the show and cant get enough of it! For months now John and others have Been Saying Batman V Superman "Needs" to be a gigantic hit. While I don't Disagree, How much of a hit are we talking about? Are we talking A massive financial hit? if so How big? Are we talking A critically acclaimed hit? Are we talking Both? And with all the controversy over their decisions, can they Realistically expect it to be as colossal a hit as your saying?

Blake Skinner writes: Good day sons and daughters of AMC! Love the show! My childhood was filled with more mature films rather than children films. My favorite movie's of all time are Point Break, Face Off, and the SAW Franchise. My question is with remakes, and reboots becoming a big thing. If you had to choose, would you rather see a remake, or reboot of Point Break, or Face Off?

Adam B writes: I was watching In Bruges with Colin Farrell the other day and forgot how much I really love this movie. I remember there was some oscar buzz for his performance after it came but he never was nominated (same goes for him in Saving Mr Banks). Anyways, what is your favorite performance that in your opinion should've been nominated, but never was? Thanks and bring on the filthy!

Garry Hasara writes: What is up with "Kingsman: The Secret Service" moving from later in 2014 to Feb 2015? Is that a bad sign that the movie isn't testing well? Seems like a "Jupiter Ascending" desperate move.
