Richard Tubb presents an idea for a new currency... one which creates social change.

Richard was born in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia and educated at the University of Tasmania. He developed a profitable confectionary distribution business when he was 14 and was a company director at aged 19.

Currently he holds the professional roles of product developer and media, marketing
and technology advisor. He consults for government, corporations and not-for-profits on
communication and media strategy. He serves as a board member for charitable and not-for-profit organisations and is an advocate for social justice.

Richard's passion is using his creativity and ingenuity to make a positive difference
globally through innovation and social entrepreneurship, whilst inspiring and encouraging others to do the same. He has been featured in local and national media promoting this cause and has spoken nationally on how others can contribute to the social good movement by harnessing their unique talents and abilities.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
