For the 2019 model year we get a brand-new redesigned Toyota RAV4. This updated 5th generation model aims to stand out in a very competitive crossover field. Prices range from $25,500 for the LE FWD trim up to $34,900 for the Limited AWD trim. The Adventure AWD model seen here starts at $32,900.

Right off the bat the front face looks rugged and adventurous and is much improved; looking more like a Tacoma truck. The paint color seen here is called Lunar Rock and it looks great along with the two-tone white. Out back is very Jeep’esque with the tail light design. Overall the package is far more handsome than any previous generation RAV4.

Under the hood there are two different powertrain options. The base engine is a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder that makes 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic. Fuel economy is 25 MPG in the City and 33 MPG on the highway. The other option is a hybrid powerplant that pairs the 2.5 liter engine with a battery pack and electric motor.
