2014 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Test Drive Video Review

On the long list of great sports cars, there are a handful of Aston Martin machines. Surely the V12 Vantage S is near the top with its powerful V-12 engine and sexy good looks. This model has more power, a higher top speed, and a more expensive price tag.

Under the lightweight hood sites a 6.0 liter V-12 engine that makes 565 horsepower and 470 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a 7-speed automated manual. Some of the technology and knowledge from the GT3 race car has trickled down to this vehicle. The shifts are quick but may be a little rough for around town driving. The faster you drive the better the car gets.

It's clear that on the outside the car is beautiful. Inside Aston Martin has upgraded the interior. There is carbon fiber and suede everywhere. The only gripe is with the outdated center stack. No matter what tax bracket you are in, you can agree the engine makes a wonderful noise. The massive carbon ceramic brakes will never fade. The V12 Vantage S is somewhere between race car and road car.
