According to Deadline actor William Fichtner has joined the cast of INDEPENDENCE DAY 2 which is currently in production. According to the outlet Fichtner is playing a military general who will play a greater role in following films. Yes, we said films as in plural. Deadline is also claiming that 2 additional films are being planned as opposed to the 1 additional film we’ve been told was in the works.
