The upcoming sequel INDEPENDENCE DAY 2 is set to go into production in May and is scheduled to hit AMC Theatres on June 24th 2016. With those dates rapidly approaching, director Roland Emmerich has announced several key castings. Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth has been confirmed for a leading role as has Jeff Goldblum who reprises his role of Dabid Levinson from the original movie. Also joining the cast is Survivor’s Remorse star Jessie Usher who will be playing the son of Will Smith’s character from the first film.
