Longtime ally of US President Donald Trump has been provisionally released from custody after being arrested. The charges of obstruction of justice, witness tampering and making false statements stem from US Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia in the 2016 presidential election. Stone has been a Washington trickster for many years, going back as far as the Nixon administration.
