For over two decades Mr Hoon has been serving his special bak kut teh at this spot and only prepares two pots of bak kut teh everyday (except Mondays when the pork supply is not available). His secret recipe is his own creation after experiencing all types of bak kut teh himself over the years. He gets his pork fresh from the market as early as 3 am everyday . Hence, you are assured that the pork he serves is not yesterday's stock...but all fresh and cooked daily straight from the market.  This results in the servings being tender and softer.
