( ) Watch the Brand New Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. They added the monster super-charged 6.2-liter LT4 engine estimated at 625+ HP and 635+ lb-ft of twist. It sends this herculean force to the rear wheels via choice of two transmissions: 8-speed paddle shifted automatic or 7-speed manual.

The Z06 has a host of light-weight components and aerodynamic tweaks. All this makes for a highly capable race-track ready Corvette with so much downforce to let it put all the ponies to the tarmac and get amazing track times. In fact, the new Z06 is faster around GM's test track than the venerable ZR-1.
