US President Donald Trump has lifted sanctions on a number of companies linked to Russian oligarch, Oleg Deripaska. These include the JSC power company and alluminium giant Rusal.
Oleg Deripaska is an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin who is under investigation in the US as part of Robert Mueller's probe into alleged collusion between Moscow and President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign. The US Treasury Department has said that the decision to remove sanctions was made because Deripaska no longer controls the companies.
