The partial government shutdown is now the longest in US history. US President Donald Trump continues to insist that Congress approve funding of a wall on the US – Mexico border, and Congressional Democrats continue to refuse to approve it. As a result, some 800,000 federal workers are going without pay, receiving work slips with nothing but zeros. Many government workers are now turning to alternative employment. A different kind of job fair in Fairfax County might be just the answer.
