Nick Gough and Rich Sears are currently on their way back from travelling the world in a tuk-tuk, driven by their passion to promote education worldwide.

Nick Gough was born and raised in Bath. After finishing school he volunteered as a teacher in Malawi, before going to Cardiff University where he gained a BSc in Economics and an MSc in International Relations. Having graduated, Nick decided to return to teaching; he successfully completed his Graduate Teacher Programme in Guildford, where he has continued to teach Economics for the past four years.

Rich Sears was born in Bath and raised in Guildford. He graduated from the University of Cambridge with an MA in Theology and Religious Studies, has studied Spanish at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and is currently undertaking an MSc in Development Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies. He completed his Graduate Teacher Programme in Guildford, where he taught Religious Studies for three years. He has also volunteered abroad as a teacher in Cambodia, Nepal and Argentina.

Nick and Rich are travelling around the world in a tuk tuk, driven by their passion to promote and advance education worldwide. Driving through Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas, going through areas lacking education and visiting projects seeking to alleviate this problem. Raising vital funds and generating exposure for these educational projects.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
