This is an unusual Malay dessert that have a strong following . A mixture of coconut shavings, rice flour ,sugar and pandan are inserted into a small bamboo stem and steam cooked . What comes out are rolls of aromatic and fresh looking putu bamboo! These can be taken as they are or with coconut shavings and brown sugar. Try it once and you will love it forever!
