In the 1980's, there was no band as big as Huey Lewis and the News. Thanks in part to being prominently featured on the upstart music video cable network MTV, Huey Lewis and the News hit the big time in 1982 with the release of their second album, Picture This, and then became a global phenomenon thanks to the success of their third album, 1983's Sports.
With massive hits like "I Want a New Drug," "The Heart of Rock & Roll," "Hip to Be Square," and "The Power of Love," and a featured spot in the 1985 blockbuster Back to the Future starring Michael J. Fox, the band literally created the soundtrack for the decade. Here's the untold truth of Huey Lewis and the News.
