Beloved "Bewitched" actor Dick York was a fan favorite TV actor, until he conspicuously disappeared from the show he helped make famous. Unfortunately, York's life behind the scenes of the famous production had been one of pain and difficulty, resulting from an on-set injury he'd sustained elsewhere in Hollywood. Sadly, York became addicted to the very painkillers that enabled him to work, and this led to him being replaced on "Bewitched". York gradually faded into obscurity in the years to come, before succumbing to the effects of a long addiction to cigarettes, even after managing to kick opiates. Though the characters he played on TV were always humorous and affable, here's the tragic real-life story of Dick York.
