Some of the most talented athletes in the world also have to contend with strict dress codes, as evidenced by the recent viral news story about the Norwegian women's beach handball Olympic team being fined for swapping the traditional bikini bottoms for shorts. While the men's team gets to wear relatively long and loose athletic shorts, the women's team is forced to wear the revealing swimwear bottoms, or else face a penalty. But that may soon change, following the outcry of support the Norwegian handballers have been getting since they stood their ground and knowingly violated the International Handball Federation Beach Handball Rules.
