The Little Noodle Factory Of KL's Chow Kit

In the backlanes of KL's famed Chow Kit wet market , now predominantly populated by Malay and Indon traders , there still exist a quaint little noodle factory that is now operated by second geneartion Mr Wong. This video captures the daily routine of Mr Wong's 30-year old production line that still churns out long stains of noodes, including shinny yellow "wan ton " nodles ,and fine vemicelli noodles. In fact he has been a trader here for almost 60 years , since his teens . This was a Chinese dominated market now most of the older generation of Chinese traders have moved on. 70+ year old Mr Wong is amongst the remaining few who or a following of loyal customers. He does not produce much these days, and only runs the production line for about two hours a day. Around this small tight knitted enclave you will find a subtle slow paced life amongst the Chinese traders and residents. They still linger and enjoy a slow morning cup of coffee and small coffe shop talk to pass the day, every day. Come cherish this scenario at the Chow Kit area ,because soon the scene might disappear!
