For as long as he could remember Mr Ng has his hands in clay since he was born. Yes, this 69 year old claypot craftsman of Ijok has been in this business for over 55 years now. Together with his two sons Mr Ng takes his time to showcase his 24-year old claypot factory in this outskirts of Kuala Selangor. The highlight is his 40 feet long baking oven that can house almost a thousand claypots at one go. From small cups for rubber tapping to big claypots for cooking.Some of the processes are machine assisted but indeed a skilled hand is needed to complete the finishing touches. Good clay is hard to come by and at his factory there are clay mounts that are his stocks.
