A surge of fighting is expected in Idlib, the last rebel-held territory in Syria. Government forces are launching an all-out offensive. Ground troops have been advancing on Idlib under the cover of Syrian and Russian airstrikes. The offensive marks an end to the nine-month ceasefire that started last September, backed by Russia and Turkey. It's the biggest escalation in fighting since the summer of last year.
