The mother lion is doing her best to keep her young cubs fed, but their emaciated bodies are a clear sign they are running out of time. They come across an injured buffalo, who should make for an easy kill. But the Buffalo sits in the water, too far in for the lions to attack. As the lions try to figure out what to do, suddenly a herd of elephants comes by and scares the lions off, buying the buffalo a bit more time.
