The Acappelicans perform the Fountains of Wayne classic: Stacy's Mom.

Founded in the historical year of 2012, the Acappelicans is a 10-strong, mixed a cappella group featuring arrangements by Chris Dendle. They dazzle audiences with a diverse repertoire of covers from various genres including pop and jazz, musical theatre and rock, and even some Disney.

The group is composed of a ragtag bunch of a cappella enthusiasts and music nerds from various University of Sydney choirs and productions including the Science Revue and the Musical Theatre Ensemble. The Acappelicans have obliterated two consecutive seasons at the Sydney Fringe Festival, joined forces with the Usyd Jazzsoc big band (SOUL) and enlivened formal events with sparkling harmonies and catchy tunes. Their debut album will be released just in time for Christmas!

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
