Lisa Fitzgerald is a student at Harvard Law. She received her B.A.
from Brandeis University. As an undergraduate, she conducted
research in Quito, Ecuador, and with funding from the Jane's Travel
Grant, designed and implemented a support network for survivors
of domestic violence. Before coming to law school, she worked for
three years as Director of the Integrated Medical Center of Norwalk,
CT and as a certified victim advocate with the Domestic Violence
Crisis Center. Currently, Lisa is a volunteer facilitator with
Communities for Restorative Justice in Concord, Massachusetts.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
