Politicians and activists generally lead pretty public lives; especially in the modern era, nearly every moment of their days can be captured, shared, and preserved for eternity. That's what makes it so odd when a politician, or someone involved in politics, disappears without a trace. We're not just talking about long ago freak accidents, either. For some of these poor people, we more or less know exactly what happened to them, while the fates of some others are mysterious and unknowable. From the Supreme Court justice who took a taxi to elsewhere to the political activist whose disappearance started a movement, these are politicians who went missing and were never found.
