In Pakistan, very few women dare ride bicycles openly on the streets for fear of being abused and stigmatized for engaging in behavior that goes against Islamic ideas of modesty. But one Karachi community group is defying these attitudes by arranging bike rides for local girls to reclaim public space, get some healthy exercise and feel empowered.
