Where can you find native ( orang asli ) durians ? And how does it look and tastes like? For those who are puzzled, native durians are durian of  original wild species found in the thick rainforests  of our country. They are unlike those we commonly get from stalls nowadays. They are "unblended" and hence unique. The first difference you would notice is the exterior of the fruit. Its thorns are sharp and long. The fruit itself are sometimes oddly shaped. Inside , the durian are creamy white and the seeds are bigger.  So, where can you find these native durians? Not in the concrete jungle of course! Just take a trip up to Cameron Highlands and along the road you will find native's stalls parading all kinds of from the jungles nearby, such as wild  honey , bamboo shoots, petai, wild plants and even tongkat ali. Here's an encounter in the heart of the fields at a native's wooden shed where extra spiky native durians come fresh from the trees. It's an experience unlike any other. As if time stands still  in the quietness of the  forest, enjoying  durian and a friendly chat with the natives amidst the cool greenery around. Besides happy durian feasting you get to be amazed by the native's handy work and craftsmanship that can be seen in the weaved baskets , wooden and bamboo shed on stilts that is void of nails. It's not just an "asli"  feeling but back to Nature too!
After savoring the native durians they even have bottled water for you to clean your hands. Truly incomparable with the durian stalls in the city !
