This year is a rare Christmastime full moon. When you look up at the moon, remember that NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter has been orbiting our moon since its launch in 2009. It's sending back high-resolution images of the moon's surface, maps of the moon's gravity, and so much more. To learn more about LRO go here: www.nasa.gov/LRO.
