In Myanmar authorities are battling a deepening drugs crisis. This week police seized more than 10 million meth pills, with an estimated street value of almost 12 million euros. The northeastern Shan state is the epicenter of the country's meth production, with a network of local armed groups linking up with transnational trafficking gangs. Rampant drug use in Myanmar is sparking worries, as drug gangs push cheap pills to a growing number of addicts.
