Carole King was honored as the 2014 MusiCares Person of the Year on Jan. 24 at a special tribute concert and dinner in Los Angeles, recognizing her accomplishments as an artist and humanitarian. A star-studded lineup performed in tribute to King, including Sara Bareilles, Louise Goffin, Amy Grant, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Miguel, Pink, James Taylor, Steven Tyler, and will.i.am, among others.MusiCares' mission is to ensure that music people have a compassionate place to turn in times of need while focusing the resources and attention of the music industry on human service issues that directly impact the health and welfare of the music community.
