Eric Stern is a Montana public official, writer, TV commentator, lawyer and political strategist. He was senior counsel to Governor Brian Schweitzer from 2005-2013 and was recently appointed Deputy Secretary of State. He has also written for Salon magazine about national politics, law and media, and for the New York Times about Montana history. He has lately become a frequent guest on the political TV circuit, including MSNBC, CNN and Bloomberg TV.
